ITF Intertex Portugal will take place at Exponor (International Exhibition Centre in Porto, Portugal) on 11-13 May 2027. The exhibition will mark its 7th edition with the official support from ANIVEC/APIV – Associação Nacional das Indústrias de Vestuário e Confecção.
The exhibition offers a comprehensive industry ecosystem covering textile manufacturing, apparel production, machinery technologies, leather and shoes manufacturing, sourcing solutions, yarns, fabrics, technical textiles, sustainability and fashion innovation as it takes place concurrently with ITF Intertex Machinery Portugal and Interleather and Shoes Portugal.

Portugal has about six thousand companies laboring in all sub-sectors of the textile industry. Portugal is recognized for high quality performance fabrics made using the most sustainable processes and materials.
The apparel and textile industry are one of the most important to the Portuguese economy. It makes up fifteen percent of the total export and is one of the largest exporters in Europe. The turnover of the Portuguese textile industry in 2018 accounted for reported 7.610€ million and the exports 5.328€ million, which represents ten per cent of the national exports. In 2022, the sector’s overall export revenue reached 6.122 billion euros (914 million euros from home textiles, 1.660 billion euros from other textiles and 3.548 billion euros from clothing). This total figure represents a 13% increase from 2021, when the industry recorded 5.413 billion euros in export revenue, and a 17% increase from 2019, when the figure stood at 5.215 billion euros. Imports, on the other hand, grew by 26% in 2022 to 5.426 billion euros. Spain is Portugal’s main textile importing country, accounting for 34% of imports, followed by Italy (11%), China (9%), Germany (7%), India (6%) and France (6%).
Portugal’s textile industry is concentrated in the north of the country especially in the Porto and Braga region. In this region manufacturers, fashion brands, machinery suppliers, innovation centers and sourcing companies operate within the same ecosystem. For visitors, this means direct access to a complete textile value chain and one of Europe’s most dynamic manufacturing regions.

GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT TO EXPONOR
To get from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto to EXPONOR you have several possibilities at your disposal, and the times vary according to the means to be used.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
DRIVING
From Porto airport to EXPONOR by car, the fastest way is to take the A28 motorway. The journey takes less than 10 minutes, but tolls are paid. Another alternative will be on the N107, where the journey does not take 15 minutes and there are no tolls to pay.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
You have a wide network of possibilities at your disposal.
By BUS
The bus ride takes around 20 minutes.
You should take the 601 bus at the airport. This route passes through the city center of Porto, Boavista, Casa da Música and Cordoaria, next to Clérigos.
It has a stop right at the entrance of Exponor and buses depart from the airport every 30 minutes.

You will easily find taxis and ride-hailing services such as UBER, BOLD and others at the airport that will take you to EXPONOR at any time.
There is no metro or train connecting the airport to EXPONOR.

You have at your disposal several possibilities to travel from Porto to EXPONOR, and the times vary depending on the means used and the place from which your trip departs.
